Some useful tips

Hi there;

I've been on trial (lawyers like saying that it makes us sound John Grishamish) and I haven't had time to post, I hate it when that happens.

However, a friend just sent me a link to a collaborative law blog that had a great series of suggestions for how to minimize the collateral damage to children in divorce cases.

Even if you don't have children many of these are suggestions that may make your divorce process less contentious and thus less expensive.

The Divorce Process in 10 Not So Easy Steps

Hi there,
 
As you can no doubt tell I am as new to blogging as you probably are to divorce.  New beginnings can be scary, but I find it helps to understand what the process is. This is particularly true when you are dealing with something as arcane as the court system.  My next posts (although I may interrupt them) will be the divorce process in 10 not so easy steps. Divorce is never one size fits all, so this is intended to be an overview of how the procedure often goes in a litigation; mediation will be the topic of another post.
